Hip Pain

The hip is the connector of the legs with the torso. It is the part of the pelvis that integrates the legs to the spine, or the lower to upper body.

Hip pain can occur as a consequence of accident or injury, but in the vast majority of cases hip pain occurs as a side effect of imbalances stemming from misaligned hind-foot bones. This very common rear foot condition is called talotarsal dislocation.

Our entire body?s balance and alignment rest on our feet, more specifically, the rear-foot area. The stability of this area, and therefore of the entire body, depend on a healthy alignment between the ankle and hind-foot bones. Talotarsal dislocation occurs when the balance between these two bones is lost, forcing the ankle bone inwards, breaking the alignment of the rear-foot, and therefore of the leg and hips. Addressing hip pain by only treating the affected area will just treat the symptoms and not the cause of the problem. Without addressing the source at the foot level, the side effects are bound to return or shift to a different area of the body.
